Dear all,
On my pc unable to start Xserver. Pc uses the nividia VGA card.
I check my /etc/X11/xorg.conf. driver is set for "sis"
so I modified it to "vesa" ...

Unable to start Xserver, out of SYNC
Dear all,
On my pc unable to start Xserver. Pc uses the nividia VGA card.
I check my /etc/X11/xorg.conf. driver is set for "sis"
so I modified it to "vesa" , then I gave command # startx resulting an eroor
Out of sync.
How can I fix this problem. Please can anybody guide me.

Set Driver to "nv". Have you installed Nvidia Driver?
Which Distro do you have?It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

- 09-19-2007 #4You should install Nvidia Driver. Open Terminal/Konsole and execute thisBut to start xserver it takes 60 secs, I think it is too much time.
Post output here.Code:lspci | grep VGA ls /etc/yum.repos.d
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
