KDE Icons on Gnome Desktop
I am running Fedora Core 2 on an older IBM laptop. The floppy disk & CD\DVD-rom device icons for KDE (ver: 3.2) will show up on my Gnome desktop (ver: 2.6). I was wondering how I would go about removing them from the Gnome desktop, where I don't want to see them, & keeping them on the KDE desktop, where they belong. Any ideas or thoughts on what I should do to take care of that?

if you load kcontrol, look under system administration->paths. there you can redfine where kde looks for the Desktop. you can set that to something like /home/user/KDesktop then open a terminal and copy anything from your current Desktop directory to that one that you want in kde. once you restart kde the changes will take effect and you'll now have a seperate desktop for gnome/kde.
