What fonts should I install and/or how do I install fonts I have from windows?

download the fonts u want from internet or put the existing from ur windows system to a disk.then go to
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts and put them there(ttf format).this is the path for suse distro,don't know if changes with other versions...that's it!Linux For Ever!

Hope these help you out. By the way, I found these sites by typing "Windows fonts" in to www.google.com/linux. It really works wonders!

I haven't read it all yet, but this looks like what I was looking for (Install for X not just one user or just one DE) http://freedesktop.org/~xorg/X11R6.7.0/doc/fonts2.html
Also, the main reason to post again was that I found the font "Bitstream Vera" And it's definately nicer than what the browser was using
In case anyone doesn't have it, try it out.
