GNOME and KDE desktop
Hi, I have few question to clarify.
1) I am new to linux and I installed RHL 7.2 on x86 server.
But defaul GNOME desktop is appeared and I want to change it to KDE desktop. How can I changed this?
2)In the GNOME termial if I give command like rpm -g its giving
RMP version 4.0.3
This program may be freely redistributed under the terms of the GNU GPL
Usage: rpm { --help}
rpm { --version}
Why its giving the above ouput instead of shwoing all the rpm pakcages?
3) How to start the mysql database?
Thanks.

Hi and Welcome !
RH 7.2 is obsolete. Is there any particular reason for installing RH7.2 only? You wont get any software/security updates and it doesn't support most of latest hardware. I would suggest you to install latest version of Fedora or CentOS only.
Having that said, did you install KDE during installation? IIRC, RedHat doesn't install KDE by default.It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
