Changes in mouse behavior WITHOUT root permission
Hello - I am trying to emulate three buttons, zaxis mapping, and wheel emulation on my work's server. Most of you will probably notice these as options used in xorg.conf. However, I don't any administrative permissions and I can't do things like restart the box's X server. (This 'box' is more like a $50k server)
I can do things like change pointer/keyboard button layout with xmodmap. That's easy. But changing the mouse behavior ie editing xorg.conf is out of the question. Is there a way to pass the said options to my personal X session while it's running and without root permission?
