Update to new KDE
I've been trying to figure out how to update to the new kde but I have been unable to. I'm running CentOS 5 and KDE 3.5.4. Can anyone please help me and point me in the right direction? I've looked on the KDE.org site and the direction aren't real clear.

Check out this page for information on installing KDE4 onto CentOS 5. I'll be sticking with KDE 3.5.8 for a bit longer, perhaps even until version 4.1 comes out.
Good luck with your own efforts.oz

If you really want to try, you will need a lot of packages is what I found. It was one thing to install the base system, and another to get it to show up in GDM as an option. Perhaps it will be easier for you, but I would recommend installing pretty much anything in synaptic/adept that relates to the terms "kde4" and "base" and "core", etc...
