X-Windows Won't Load and I Don't Know What Else to Try
I'm using an iMac and the latest version of debian. The installation of debian went smoothly and i used apt-get...etc. to get and install xwindows and wmaked, but when i enter startx the screen goes black and my power light goes from green to red. I hit ctrl+opt+delete and it goes back to the command line. I've tried playing with the configureations and i always get an error of something like "no screens found" or "can't load module". does anyone know how to install XWindow on an iMac. If anyone knows how to install KDE or Gnome or some other GUI on an iMac i would gladly use one of those instead.

Can you check the last 20+ lines of /var/log/XFree86.0.log and post them here? Most likely, your screencard-driver are wrongfully configured, so try running "xf86config" and see if it works after that.
