Pointer transforms to cross

Hi all,

i need a lot of help here: few days ago i press a file compined with some buttons(from the numpud i think) then every time i click to that file my pointer transforms to that cross-like thing and every time i press click, the machine sound bells, it goes about 10 times-clicks and then the pointer is fine

i tried to remove and install again that file but it does it again.
i have a photo of that thing taken from my mobile(attached down)

Just installed Gnome and KDE and get that cross thing myself. Had been wondering what it was. Perhaps it's meant to be there??

Glad to hear that other people have the same problem.
I wasnt able to open text file, but i open it with "open with->gedit".
if you ever learn what this thing is please post it.i am very courius
to see what is that.
