RH9 GNOME main menu is missing I use Start Here

After login I access the Internet thru the Start Here desktop icon. Exery thing seem to be working ok. I was playing with adding a new vertical panel. After booting up the dictionary app would run automatically for some reason. So I delete it from this new panel. I thing the panel was now empty. But, I didn't delete it. The dictionary app stopped running. I booted up ok for a couple of days I think without any problems.

Now all bootups appear to be ok except the GNOME panel containing the main menu is missing. Any help would appreciated.

can't you just add a new panel, and then add the main menu and all that to it?
