    OK, then, looks like we're going to have to revert to good ol' stracing. Run this:
    Code:
    X :0 & sleep 10; export DISPLAY=:0; strace -o strace.output -f /etc/X11/xdm/Xsession kde
    Now, the strace.output file will probably be many hundred of lines, so don't post it here, but mail it to me instead, and I will put it on my server so that everyone can see it.
