    Hi all:

Is it a VNC bug?? I couldnt find a solution in VNC lists, or anywhere

I cant type Tilde when I am running VNCviewer on a Windows XP and SP Kboard, connecting to my linux server.

No, that's right, xmodmap won't affect that, since it only affects the X server. It's Windows' responsibilty to send the correct characters to it.
Since this is Windows, however, I cannot help you with that. Try another keyboard layout? The U.S. english is far better for UNIX systems than all our european layouts anyway.
