X11 6.8.0 (x.org)
I just bought a laptop with a
bash-2.05b# cat /proc/pci | grep VGA
VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility U1 (rev 0).
gfx card. X finds it and gladly reports it to the logfile
(--) Chipset ATI Radeon IGP320M (U1) 4336 found
before the release of 6.8.0 this card had no support for 3d-acceleration, but now it does. atleast that is what they say. everything works really fine without the GLX-module, but when i load the GLX-module and have the DRI-module loaded X freezes when it starts up and i have to reboot. so no accelerated 3d for me? =/ has anyone had a similar problem? is there any patch for this card? ive also tried XFree4.4.0 but it does not seem to support 3D-acceleration either. with XFree 4.4.99.13 running glxinfo causes the whole system to hang and glxgears is not accelerated. so do you know of any solutions? even longshots are welcome =)
