    Thunar ate nautilus!

Well, first of all, i like both nautilus and thunar. Nautilus is more useful for me, but thunar is faster, so i don't want to remove thunar, i just want to keep thunar on XFCE and nautilus in Gnome as default.

I was working in Gnome, and suddenly, I noticed both Transmission and AWN were launching Thunar instead of Nautilus, transmission with the "open folder" command, and AWN when i click a folder in a mounted device.

how can i set nautilus as default in gnome?

    thank you!

Should be able to change it with gconf-editor.
    I think it's under Applications>System Tools>Configuration editor

    Then go to Desktop>gnome>applications>component viewer
    Set that to nautilus

Might also check Desktop>gnome>session>required components, and make sure that is set to nautilus.

So I downloaded thunar to see if I could replicate this, and transmission did indeed open thunar. In fact, selecting my home directory from the menu also opened thunar. The fix was surprisingly simple, though. Manually open nautilus, right click on a folder, go to properties>open with, and change it from thunar. Worked for me across the board.
