1) i am trying to record audio from microphone, using different codecs and containers to find out the best suitable one for me.
There i am facing some problems ...

gstreamer: codec problems
hi...
1) i am trying to record audio from microphone, using different codecs and containers to find out the best suitable one for me.
There i am facing some problems like,
a) i couldnt able to find any mux which can be linked to gsmenc( mux which can take audio/x-gsm).
b) when i use speexenc, it automatically setting to stereo mode, how can i make it to mono ?
c) i want to try with celt, i installed gstreamer 0.10-20 and gst-plugins-bad-0.10.11.but while installing the later i got message like :
configure: *** Plug-ins with dependencies that will NOT be built:
acm
amrwb
assrender
celt,
................
...........
so celt is not getting installed . how can i install this one ?

What distribution + version and which desktop GUI are you running?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
