    it's 1777 i.e. sticky just like /tmp. And nautilus puts the files i delete in there, but the trash can does not show it. I've followed all the instructions on how to setup trash folder. So it's not a permissions issue.

    Hi dwillyson, I've got exactly same problem after system update(probably update of Gnome I believe), and was trying to find solution for this.
    Wonder if you manage to fix this behavior?
