    should be an option at your login screen

    #switchdesk gnome

    in some distro the command maybe switchdesk-gnome
    then restart X server

    another way, your can also write a .xinitrc file and put it under your home
    directory then just write "gnome-session&" in this file. it also works.

    Your welcome. TWM is functional but a little ...ugly .
