Can't not show graphic interface
I install the Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES Release 2.1/ Kernel 2.4.9 -e.12Smp on an i686.
When I run to install in the Graphic Interface (the list of card driver)
but there aren't any type of card driver suitable with my computer as
: Intel (R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphic Controler
(I see this name in the WinXP system), the true name is D845GVSR Card.
+ I try using a other card to install, I choose the graphic mode option in the installing but The graphic interface can't show when it start, it start in the Text mode option. I run a command is StartX but there is a message
appear about Graphic Interface.
+ I install again and choose the Graphic Interface (default) mode option
but it start in the Text mode option.
+ I also come to http://www.intel.com to download driver for video card (Linux file.sh)
when I run this file it gave a error message:
[Aborting]: You don't appear to have dialog installed. This program requires it.
steps to install.
1. Boot from CD
2. run as defaults
3. The other Partition
+ Swap: 1024 MB (vi RAM 512)
+ ext2 : the remain of hardisk ( / )
4. Select Server option
5. Select Graphic interface mode option: Default
6. Select option Dispaly: Graphic
7. End
Thank you.
