Can't get trident 985 work fine with X !!!
ok , i ran xf86config , choosed the right driver and configured my screen correctly , when starting x with 8bits only , colors are fine ... BUT when starting it with 16bits , the colors are awful ( pink ) and its flu... it used to work fine with windows 98.
i am using slackware 8.1 btw

try starting with 15 bits, the card might support that and not 16. Or 24 even

IT USED TO WORK WITH WIN98
yep , i used to work on windows 98, 16-bit was working perfectly , so is 24-bit, so....
