Only Gnome failsafe works
Debian Sarge: kernel 2.6.620041010 : Gnome 2.6
Something in my Gnome user account is causing Gnome not to load. I tried installing zircon for x and upon running, the zircon startup screen appeared and hung. I tried logging out of X and that's when it happened.
Gnome appears to load several things up until nautilus or another script then freezes. I have to hard reboot.
Failsafe Gnome works fine. My questions is though, how can I repair the 'normal' gnome login?
Tnx

I tried editing the Gnome2/session file with no luck. So while Gnome was trying to load all of the 'open' applications I started pressing Alt-F12,F10 and suddenly Gnome came up completely and gave me an error about Synaptic not having the correct root password. I left Synaptic running and when I tried to log back into the same session, Gnome tried to load Synaptic but couldn't so it froze.
Oh well, I'm good to go.
