GTK programs and GNOME look bad?
I think it is a problem with GTK theme configurations, but I can not figure out what it is. Then starting GNOME, or any other program that is based on GTK, including gdm, the text inside buttons is cutoff on the bottom and left side. So for instance in gdm when selecting the desktop environment I want to run I would only see the top parts of few letters of the names. This happens in gnome and other GTK apps. I run MEPIS 2004.
What can this be?

Use the gnome control panel to resize your font and this should fix your problem.

Yeah, I tried that. It's not that the text is too big. The thing is that the text spaces are too small. The actual font size is perfectly normal, would not say that it's any bigger then 12 points. I'll try making it smaller though, perhaps it will reset something.
