[SOLVED] Some of the icons are not visible

    Hi
Today I installed Arch Linux and along with it I installed Gnome desktop. But I am having a minor problem which is that at the top panel under "Places" and "System" some of the icons are not visible like under "Places" the icons of "Connect to Server...", Search for Files..." and "Recent Documents" are not visible while under "System" none of the icon is not visible. Can anyone help to solve this little problem?
    Thanks

The default in Gnome now is to NOT show the icons.

Check this Arch wiki page and look for Missing Icons in System Menu about half way down the page:
