Hi,

I have installed Opensuse 11.2 as per following settings :

Display Manager : Gnome

I have done settings for XDMCP for Remote X Logins.

I have done changes in following Files to enable Remote XDMCP.

1) /etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config

Commented the line : DisplayManager.requestport: 0

2) /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess

Uncommented the following Lines :

*
* CHOOSER BROADCAST

3) /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers

commented the line :

:0 local /usr/bin/X -no listen tcp -br vt7

4) /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager

changed DISPLAYMANAGER from "gdm" to "xdm"

changed DISPLAYMANAGER_REMOTE_ACCESS to "yes"


Now I can remote X login from Nodes, but the server has stopped starting in GUI mode. When I start server it gives login prompt in text mode & after login if I give startx commnd the GUI starts.

When I change the DISPLAYMANAGER to its original value "gdm" the server starts in GUI Mode but I cannot start remote X sessions from Nodes.

Please guide how to solve above issue.
