[SOLVED] Xfce4 start menu list is gone

    Hi everbody
I have ubuntu with last updates and desktop xfce4. I did some changes in start menu. And all menu list is gone. How could we rebuild start menu list?
    I tried
    Code:
    xfdesktop --reload
    but no success.
    Error message something like
    Code:
No standard application found for >>%s<<
    Thanks

You could go into where you made menu list changes and look for your borked entry

No standard application found for >>%s<<
where you typed in %s and remove those entries that you put in.

I don't run xfce. But in Icewm or fluxbox when I bork a menu entry or bork a conky.rc entry. It keeps everything after that borked entry from showing up.

Next time make a backup of menu file before editing so you can restore it if you bork it.

Thanks dud. Now its working again. I have to copy an example menu file from /etc/xdm/menu/xfce4XXXx.menu into ~/.config/menu and then i have to load this file from menu edit. Thats all.
