    Install just KDE interface

    I want to make a custom Ubuntu distribution that can fit and run live from a CD or from a USB stick to do basic tasks like viewing the Internet, Word processing, PDF viewing, doing basic calculations. and other few apps like kate, dolphin, network manager etc
    to achieve this I installed Ubuntu Minimal Install but after that i cannot figure out what to do.

    You just need to apt-get (download and install) the KDE packages you want. Make sure your sources are up to date and you have an internet connection - then try the steps listed here. Good luck.
