I have a problem with a Dell E521with a GeForce 6150LE video card that I gave to my father when I got a new computer. It is running Fedora 15 with the XFCE desktop and the cursor disappears often. The only way to get it back is press CTRL+ALT+Delete to restart system. I have searched the Internet but I have not found anything that helped me. I read that I have to modify /etc/X11/xorg.conf and add Option "HWCursor" "Off". I do not have the the xorg.conf file in /etc/X11. I have heard that you have to enter the
Xorg -configure command to creat xorg.conf but when I do that is says
"Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock
and start again."
I enter rm -rf /tmp/.X0-lock and try Xorg -configure again and this time it says "_XSERVTransSocketUNIXCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running
Warning: Xalloc: requesting unpleasantly large amount of memory: 0 bytes.

Fatal server error:
Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running"
I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help me with this problem because I feel that a problem like would prevent a Windows user from switching to Linux if they are unlucky enough to have a computer that does not function perfectly with Linux.
