    installing twice

I have installed a chat program called KOPETE on my redhat linux 8.0 system and for some reason it appears twice in the GNOME MENU > EXTRAS > INTERNET

before i installed it i did
    Code:
    rpm -q kopete
and it said it wasn't installed so it cant be installed twice, any ideas?

and how do i delete things out of the redhat menu?

Probably the install script was buggy. I don't remember how to get things out of the menu right now, but check the GNOME Systems Administrator's Reference on http://www.gnome.org/. It says how to do it.
