    Those IceWM helper tools that I've tried in the past formatted the config files in weird ways that made them harder for me to read and understand, so I've always stuck with manual edits. This actually applies to IceWM, Openbox, and the other more popular window managers that I've used. That's just my own preference, though, and I do understand why some might prefer using the helper tools.

    Thanks for the link Dapper Dan ... I think you probably converted me to IceWM (with a little help from kde4 ) but I use it on all distros not just Crux

    Same here. I always read the praise that Dan had for the speed and clean look that you get from IceWM.
    Now, it's my default for any distro I run.
