GUI gives blank screen on logout
Hi,
I run Slackware-13.37 (2.6.37.6-smp) with initrd. All was working fine until I removed my old propriety nvidia driver (nvidia-uninstall) and downloded/installed the new 295.20.
I boot into runlevel 3 and use startx to log into KDE. When I log out of KDE I get blank screen (no prompt, nothing). Ctl-Alt-Fx still gives blank screen.
Can't see any errors in Xorg.0.log. Can anybody suggest something?
Thanks.

What happens if you boot into runlevel 5, and then switch with Ctrl-Alt-Fx?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

Since then I've installed 285.05.09, and now all is well. So I'm pretty sure it was something to do with nvidia's 295.20 driver.
I did try booting into runlevel 4 (Multiuser + X in Slackware), but I still had problems. At this moment I'm not sure exactly what happened since I tried only that once, and then again changed back to booting into runlevel 3.
