    Firefox searching

    Hi all
    I'm experiencing a problem in firefox while I'm trying to search for a fragment of text. It simply doesn't find words that are obviosly displayed in a web page. What's even more funny, the highlight button still works.
    Have any of you experiended and solved a similar problem?

    must admit that I don't get this problem (I have version 1.0 of Firefox), although it did take some getting used to the way the search facility shows up at the bottom of the window and the way it finds things as you type them in.

    I'm with Nerderello...running FF1.0 and have not experienced anything like that. Have you tried maybe uninstalling and re-installing? You could have gotten a corrupted binary or something of that nature...

    I've not had a problem, but admitadly as you type the letters into the find bar the hightlight colour is garish and it might not be showing up against the web page background?

    Well, it gots reinstalled quite often as I update my Debian frequently. I wonder if it might be a fault of one of the numerous extension that I've installed. In fact, after I had removed the profile folder everything's been working fine so far. Thanks for your suggestions.
