How to get launchers on the MATE desktop to open with single-click.

As one of the many people who disliked Gnome3, I have just installed the MATE Desktop (mate-desktop.org/), which I am pleased with. I can again make desktop launchers which open my apps if I double-click them.

But what options can I change to make them respond to a single click?
    Fedora 18 64 bit.

It's been a while since I've used Gnome 2 but IIRC the option was in the file managers settings.

Thank you very much. I tried the options in Caja/Nautilus. I have already got open on single click selected, but that doesn't make launchers open on single click.
Maybe it is an impossible task.

For another project, I've just installed a Centos VM and that has Gnome 2 as it's desktop. It seems that the single click option in Nautilus is the right switch. It may be a bug in Caja.

Have you tried turning the option off and on again if that isn't too Windows-like

Turn it off and on again?
If you click Caja/Nautilus edit→preferences→behaviour menu items/tabs, there are radio buttons for single click and double click. It was only opening folders on single clisk, but it seems to be working for apps too, now I have turned it off and on again.

    Thank you.
