X server is trying to load modules that do not exist and shouldnt.

I am configuring my laptop manually with a new minty fresh arch install trying to debug problems step by step and I have come against a problem I do not understand.

I have my X server and for video drivers I have Nouveau, Mesa and GLX.

However after GLX loads X tries to load the graphics driver Nouveau and succeeds. After that it tries to load nvidia nv vesa modesetting and fbdev drivers and it fails since none are installed as well as slowing loading of X. I have searched all my X configuration files and I have yet to see where X is configured to load all these drivers or any driver actually. I checked around the Arch Wiki to try to figure out what I need to configure but I failed to find anything that covers this problem. I so I am looking for help.

I am including my full Xorg log maybe a second pair of eyes could see something I missed.

Thank you all in advanced for help.

Ok this is weird. I added a conf file to fix a tearing problem which did not work... however. It fixed This problem go figure..

    I added a 20-nouveau.conf
    Code:
    Section "Device"
               Identifier "nvidia card"
               Driver "nouveau"
               Option "GLXVBlank" "true"
    EndSection

Only thing i can figure is X did not have a configuration at all.. I have no clue how X worked at all.

Nothing wrong on your side. It's probably the same bug that I reported in launchpad:
    bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/1137701
As yet, and as so often, no activities even though - I guess - a lot of people are bitten by this. If I knew more about it, I would try myself. But I have no clue why anycard will end up trying to load the nvidia stuff.
May I suggest that you add your comment to that bug report, as well as your work-around?

    Uwe
