    First try Ctrl+Alt+T. If that doesn't work, then try to set keyboard shortcuts (there should be a place to do that in any Gnome): System Settings -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts.

    hi,

    i like to use command line tools whenever possible, so to that end, I use the "gettings set/get" commands. something like that is discussed here, though the schema I use looks a little different.
