    Debain Gnome 3 failed, can I leave it like this?


    After wheezy install I got:

    GNOME 3 Failed to Load
    Unfortunately GNOME 3 failed to start properly and started on the
    fallback mode.
    This most likely means your system (graphics hardware or driver) is not capable

    What does this mean? Ive found out how to fix it and I did so. I like the desktop better before the fix. Is it missing any real functionality or just the desktop look is different? if its just a different look, can i switch back to fallback mode?

    You're not missing any functionality, at all. I haven't used either Ubuntu or GNOME in quite a while, but you should be able to switch back to fallback mode either from the login screen or from your system settings menu.
