Debian 7 LXDE clean iso install Main Menu issues

    Hi guys,

I'm a newbe and no techie but I have google and tried everthing to edit LXDE main menu. I want to remove most of the Other sub menu entries because they are double entries of nearly all the other categories Accessories, Graphics, Internet etc (see screen shot).

    Thanking everyone in advance

You may want to start by editing /etc/apt/sources.list, as a beginning suggestion.

    Hello,
    just suppress the related entry:
    sudo nano /etc/xdg/menus/lxde-applications.menu
and comment the entry "Other" (for this just delete the final '>' of the string <!-- Other -->
    That's it.
This will be for all the users.

    Cheers
