Importing KDE settings from one user account to another

    Hello

Is there a way to import KDE desktop settings from the account of one user to the root account? I really need to do this since my root kde account settings don't have anything in the main desktop, QuickLaunch bar, and additional toolbars, and it will take forever to manually create icons and drag them all to the desktop/toolbars. The need stems from the fact that I'm forced to use a lowly user account due to the aforementioned problem and its bloody annoying when I have to download software to directories I don't have access to (after all, KDE doesn't prompt me for a root passwd so i can have temporary access to the directory).

    Thanks for all your help

I tried typing exactly that command from the root account. Strangely enough, it didn't work. My original root kde desktop settings are still enforced.

i think you want to copy the subdirectories as well. So add the -r switch in the command.
    I\'m so tired .....
