In suse, the default desktop environment is KDE (K Desktop Environment). Gnome is one of the alternatives, it is a bit simpler than KDE. You can try installing through Yast, otherwise go to the site already mentioned.

Gnome is included in Suse's install disks. Just fire up YAST, go to "Install and Remove Software", and check the boxes next to the Gnome packages, then click on "Accept".
There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
