    It suddenly works!
    Yesterday I logged on as root, and installed some software I still wanted to try, and now my computer just starts up in KDE correctly. I still have no clue what caused this problem, but at least I can work on now. If you have any idea what was the cause, and what might be a good way to solve it in general, I'd like to know.
