    go to one of the command centers. cant remember whick one. i think its the mandrake one. and go to hardware. select your soundcard and on the right click "run config tool" or something like that then select the one you want. sorry if my directions were a little bad. i stoped using mandrake not to long ago. but i did have the same problem and thats what fixed it for me.
