    "no screens found" on startx for Debian


    Hello,

    I have a Dell Dimension 4100 and I have successfully installed Debian onto it.


    However x-windows will not configure properly. I get the messege "No Screens Found" when I use startx under the XFree86 xserver.


    I am using the origanal ATI RAGE PRO card with 16MB of VRAM and the Dell E770s monitor.

    Please Help,..

    in order to configure your x environment, it looks like you are having problems with your vertical and horizontal sync settings on your monitor, you can guess or check your monitor settings online.
