Gnome-panel, nautilus and gnome settings daemon Fail,Startup
When i startx it gets past the login screen but i get 3 errors:
nautilus cant be used now, due to an unexpected error: from bonobo when attempting to register the file manager view server.
there was a problem registering the panel with the bonobo-activation server. the error code is 3. the panel will now exit
there was an error starting the gnome settings daemon. the settings daemon restarted too many times
these errors started happening after i tried to update gnome using rpms, i rolled back everything i installed but it still has these errors. i think it has soemthing to do with fontconfig, becuase it has these lines in the terminal:
WARNING **:Extremely Strange, strange object directories (0)
registered with the activation context.
fontconfig warning: line 31: unknown element "selectfont"
fontconfig warning: line 32: unknown element "rejectfont"
fontconfig warning: line 33: unknown element "glob"
this appears for gnome-panel and nautilus
Also it creates 2 files: /bonobo-activation-register.lock and /bonobo-activation-server-ior

I'd not try updating gnome by yourself.. It is slow and painful process. Just install new release of redhat.
Did you install new RPMs by force without the dependencies? Did you install all required RPMs?
