changing the redhat logo?
i am using redhat 8.0 and i want to change the icon on the menu panel, but i cannot get to the properties, i can change all the other icons though, also how do i change the trash icon??

try removing the menu then re adding it.

the only thing i can think of would be to change the theme of your desktop away from bluecurve, this should change the menu button to either the foot for GNOME or the KDE logo. other then that i dont know how to change it to what ever you want to. but i will keep my eyes open to see if i find anything else out.

It's quite easy.
1. First login as root at the login screen and got to user/share/pixmaps.
2. Look for the redhat icon which is named redhat-main-menu.png
3. Rename it e.g redhat-main-menu1.png and copy your own icon onto the directory.
4. name your icon redhat-main-menu.
Next time you login it will have changed to your icon, you can change all of the redhat icons to your own.
