Does anybody know of a good X.org HOWTO. I am trying to get my readeon 9700 working under slackware, ( I know insert torture device here ) but first I have to update xorg.

Some more details would be nice. What Slackware version are you using and what X.org version do you need ?

Mmz, I think a search on this forum or linuxquestions.org will give you answers to that. You're not the only one having this problem. Can't help you, I use a matrox card which has excellent open source driver support but poor 3D specs. The ati drivers are a pain in the ass, if you do not need the 3D performance you could use the radeon driver which comes with X.org.
