    Cannot Install Suse 9 Linux

    I am trying to install Suse un my computer, but after like 5 minutes, after I inserted the first cd, I get a blank screen with stripes of color lines running. I dont understand the problem, I currently have RedHat 9 on the same system and the x system is working good. Could someone Please help me with this issue, which would be very very helpful.

    My monitor is Compaq FS740
    My Cpu is Pentium 3, 750 MHz,

    Please help me, I am a new guy to Linux

    Try installing in text mode.
    At the bottom of the screen, you will see 800x600 or 1024x768. Change that to text.
    That might help.
