    Mouse Pointer Disappears

At times the mouse pointer will disappear. This usually happens when using the mouse and the pointer will not come back until the mouse is moved repeatedly. The mouse/vmware setup seems to be fine with other distros.

O/S: Debian Sarge (runs under vmware in winXP)
    Xfree86 version: 4.1.0
    kde version: 3.3.2
    mouse: Logitech USB
    window manager: KDM 3.3.2

XFree86 mouse portion of config file:
    Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Mouse1"
    Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2" <------ tried setting this to Logitech, USB and PS2
    Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "HWCursor" "off" <------- tried setting this to on
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true" <------- tried eliminating this from file
    Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
    # Option "Emulate3Buttons"
    # Option "Emulate3Timeout" "50"
Option "ChordMiddle" <------- tried eliminating this from file
    EndSection

    loaded modules:
    appletalk 18956 1 (autoclean)
    ipx 15604 1 (autoclean)
    vmhgfs 33856 4
    usbmouse 1760 0 (unused)
    agpgart 29792 0 (unused)
    keybdev 1664 0 (unused)
    usbkbd 2848 0 (unused)
input 3040 0 [usbmouse keybdev usbkbd]
    usb-uhci 20676 0 (unused)

Any assistance would be greatly welcome

VMware emulates hardware, So it is not relevant what hardware you actually have but what vmware emulates you have.
