i got knoppix the otherday and it seems much better at auto configuring all of my crap on my laptop is there a reason why and anything i can do to merge the 2 redhat9 and knoppix i dont know the ver off hand i think is 3.1 but its pretty good and i like the desktop it has.

no, but you can install that version of knoppix right on your system. there is no guarantee that the hardware recognition will be the exact same though, but it is usually close.
also, there is a page on my guide about customizing a knoppix hard drive install that really streamlines it to your liking.
