Audio not working
Hello everyone,
I have always been a fan of the Linux OS and i about 2 weeks ago i installed freesco to run as my router and im loving it soo now i finally decided to upgrade my winxp system to Linux Mandrake 9.1 ......So far i have had minimal problems but i am very staisfied with the system....the only problem that i ran into is that i dont think my audio card is supported and i have no idea how to see if it is or isnt...i tried looking in the configuration menu but i couldnt find anything..
my audio card is built in to my mb i believe it is a realtek and my mb is a gigabyte 7avxp
any help would be great
thanks

Can you tell me more about the builtin sound.
If you have xmms installed, can you run "xmms" from the xterm and tell me errors you might have? The best things in life are free.

even though the error the thread above is distorted sound I got a feeling that it might be the same kind of error (the wrong sound driver for the wrong DE)Regards Scienitca (registered user #335819 - http://counter.li.org )
