As a graphic designer by trade, It's important to have PLENTY of fonts installed on your system... how? where can I find them??? can I use m$ fonts? Can I use apple fonts?? TT fonts ok?

Which distro are you using? You should be able to find RPMs or Debs depending on which distro. Something like fonts can be installed via these methods rather easily.
The Microsoft fonts may have a highger restriction nowadays. At best, you maybe able to use them but not distribute them. As for the apple fonts, I can't say much about them.The best things in life are free.
