Problem with Gnome Panels
Okay, my panels are looking fine to me, but I have one problem: whenever I log on, I get an error message like "Error: I've detected a panel already running, and will now exit." Now both my panels load up fine, but this error message is really annoying to recieve every time I log on. Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you checked your message logs? You may be able to easily figure out why you are getting the message, or at least where it is generating from so you can disable it.

Don't save your session on the next log-out.

Thank you, your advice essentially worked. What I actually did was I had to delete the session in the sessions manager. Then I had to log out without saving the session. I don't know why it saves the session by default; that message is bound to happen to other new users who don't know what they're doing.

The configuration for this is accessible via the gnome-session-properties tool, but I doubt many new users would even so much as stumble upon that bit of functionality.
