Couple newbie KDE questions
These may be newbie questions, but they have me stumped.
Everytime I reboot and KDE starts up it sets my resolution to the highest available resolution. I want it to boot up at 1024x768 and nothing I seem to do changes it. Also, when I shrink the KDE panel, I get blank black space on either side of it, what do I do to make the background image go flush with the bottom and sides of the panel?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you tried running sax2 to configure your resolution and graphics? Open up a terminal/CLI and type in as root: sax2. Or you can open your Kmenu > System > Configuration > sax2 (I think this is right. It's been awhile since I ran KDE).
Hope this helps.
