    Well, first off, upgrade. RH8 is so old now that it's probably not worth updating any part of it.

    The new RH line is called Fedora Core (http://fedora.redhat.com).


    That said, did you download the E16 (stable) or E17 (brand spankin' new)? That does change the installation process.
